After that, we have the Grand National festival at Aintree which includes click here biggest and toughest race of the year, the Grand National.
Both of these festivals are jump festivals and are arguably the two biggest, but we also have the Bet365 Jump Finale every year at Sandown in April, this marks the end of the Jump season and the start of the Flat season.
The flat season has 5 "Classic" races these are known as the Classics and are formed of the 2000 Guineas Stakes which is held at Newmarket each year.
The 1000 Guineas Stakes which also takes place at Newmarkets.
The Epsom Oaks which takes place at Epsom.
The Epsom Derby which is often just referred to as "The Derby".
Lastly, the St Ledger Stakes which takes place at Doncaster and normally marks the end of the Triple Crown as well as the flat season.
The Classics are the big races for the flat season, but we also have some huge festivals taking place each year, the prized festival is Royal Ascot probably most famous for the punters and the fashion, with the classic ladies day being as much about the fashion as the horse racing.

How Do We Pick Our Top Horse Racing Picks If you want some tricks and tips and would like to pick your own horses, then we can show you some of the easier ways to read article things.
If you are inexperienced on how to read horse racing cards and form we have an excellent guide here to help you.
Some important things you need to look for are form for both the horse and Jockey, if a horse or jockey are in good form, it is often a good sign and well worth having a look at that horse.
You need to remember though that form is not the only thing, you need to ensure that the form is in the correct races, if they are handicap races you may need to check how much the weight has been increased on the horse.
Is the form only on all-weather tracks or is it on grass.
If the horse regularly runs on grass, you need to check the sort of ground the horse likes.
The type of ground is divided into several categories these are described as the "Going" the "Going" is an important thing to look at when considering picking horse bets as some horses like good ground and others like softer ground, we will provide you with the going each day if it is available.
The categories of going are as follows; Firm means it is a very hard dry track, Good is a track with good grass coverage and a slight cushion or bounce in the ground, Soft is a wet track with a good amount of give in the ground, and lastly Heavy which means the track is very wet and probably a little muddy, it often means the top surface will cut up and cause issues for jump racing especially.
If the ground is to firm often when it is frozen a race will be called off and if it is too heavy a race will also be called off.
Often when the ground is described, it will be a combination of these terms with good to firm and good to soft being used a lot when describing ground.
If it is an all-weather track, the ground will just be described as standard as this never changes.
As well as form and track going, we need the best online game no download opinion look at the types of races the horse has been running in.
First point is has the horse previously been running in flat races, hurdles or jump racing as some horses can run in all three.
Next, we need to look at the distance, and what sort of distances the horse has been running in, horse racing distances are measured in miles and furlongs, and these vary in distance from 4 miles to 6 furlongs a sprint race.
A furlong is 220 yards, so a 6-furlong race is a very short sprint.
Some horses are far better at running a sprint and don't have the stamina for the longer races.
Ideally, you would not want to back a horse that has been running sprints in a 3 miles race and honestly it would be rare to see this happen.
You then need to check what grade the horse has been running in as different horses have different classes.
The classes vary depending on the type of racing National Hunt races are divided into four grades or classes, class one is simply the best horses with no handicaps at all.
Classes 2 is the next best horses then class 3 and lastly listed races, these races often have a form of handicapping in which the best horses are given extra weight to slow horse slightly depending on it's age as well as previous wins and results.
Flat racing runs similar to this learn more here has seven classes or grades as with before the top class horses are the best, but these horses are given weight to slow them slightly depending on lots of factors including age, wins and jockey.
This is why it is often much more difficult to continually win in flat racing.
The grades below 1 are as before, and the horses gradually get worse the lower down the classes you go.
All this is a must read before picking your horse, and we do this with every pick we make, as well as speaking to the yards the horses are from and lots of other contacts within the industry.
